Genesis 2:9, 17(verse 9) And out of the ground made the LORD God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil.

(verse 17) But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.Genesis 2 verses 9, 17, Genesis 3:5-6, 22(verse 5) For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.

(verse 6) And when the woman saw that the tree [was] good for food, and that it [was] pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make [one] wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.

(verse 37) Even those men that did bring up the evil report upon the land, died by the plague before the LORD.Numbers 14 verses 27, 35, 37, Numbers 32:13And the LORD'S anger was kindled against Israel, and he made them wander in the wilderness forty years, until all the generation, that had done evil in the sight of the LORD, was consumed.Numbers 32 verse 13

Deuteronomy 1:35Surely there shall not one of these men of this evil generation see that good land, which I sware to give unto your fathers.Deuteronomy 1 verse 35, Deuteronomy 4:25-26(verse 25) When thou shalt beget children, and children's children, and ye shall have remained long in the land, and shall corrupt [yourselves], and make a graven image, [or] the likeness of any [thing], and shall do evil in the sight of the LORD thy God, to provoke him to anger:

(verse 26) I call heaven and earth to witness against you this day, that ye shall soon utterly perish from off the land whereunto ye go over Jordan to possess it; ye shall not prolong [your] days upon it, but shall utterly be destroyed.Deuteronomy 4 verses 25-26, Deuteronomy 17:7, 12(verse 7) The hands of the witnesses shall be first upon him to put him to death, and afterward the hands of all the people. So thou shalt put the evil away from among you.

(verse 12) And the man that will do presumptuously, and will not hearken unto the priest that standeth to minister there before the LORD thy God, or unto the judge, even that man shall die: and thou shalt put away the evil from Israel.Deuteronomy 17 verses 7, 12, Deuteronomy 19:19-20(verse 19) Then shall ye do unto him, as he had thought to have done unto his brother: so shalt thou put the evil away from among you.

(verse 20) And those which remain shall hear, and fear, and shall henceforth commit no more any such evil among you.Deuteronomy 19 verses 19-20, Deuteronomy 22:21-22, 24(verse 21) Then they shall bring out the damsel to the door of her father's house, and the men of her city shall stone her with stones that she die: because she hath wrought folly in Israel, to play the whore in her father's house: so shalt thou put evil away from among you.

(verse 22) If a man be found lying with a woman married to an husband, then they shall both of them die, [both] the man that lay with the woman, and the woman: so shalt thou put away evil from Israel.

1 Samuel 2:23And he said unto them, Why do ye such things? for I hear of your evil dealings by all this people.1 Samuel 2 verse 23, 1 Samuel 6:9And see, if it goeth up by the way of his own coast to Bethshemesh, [then] he hath done us this great evil: but if not, then we shall know that [it is] not his hand [that] smote us: it [was] a chance [that] happened to us.1 Samuel 6 verse 9, 1 Samuel 12:19And all the people said unto Samuel, Pray for thy servants unto the LORD thy God, that we die not: for we have added unto all our sins [this] evil, to ask us a king.1 Samuel 12 verse 19, 1 Samuel 15:19Wherefore then didst thou not obey the voice of the LORD, but didst fly upon the spoil, and didst evil in the sight of the LORD?1 Samuel 15 verse 19, 1 Samuel 16:14-16, 23(verse 14) But the Spirit of the LORD departed from Saul, and an evil spirit from the LORD troubled him.

(verse 15) And Saul's servants said unto him, Behold now, an evil spirit from God troubleth thee. (verse 16) Let our lord now command thy servants, [which are] before thee, to seek out a man, [who is] a cunning player on an harp: and it shall come to pass, when the evil spirit from God is upon thee, that he shall play with his hand, and thou shalt be well.

(verse 23) And it came to pass, when the [evil] spirit from God was upon Saul, that David took an harp, and played with his hand: so Saul was refreshed, and was well, and the evil spirit departed from him.1 Samuel 16 verses 14-16, 23, 1 Samuel 18:10And it came to pass on the morrow, that the evil spirit from God came upon Saul, and he prophesied in the midst of the house: and David played with his hand, as at other times: and [there was] a javelin in Saul's hand.1 Samuel 18 verse 10, 1 Samuel 19:9And the evil spirit from the LORD was upon Saul, as he sat in his house with his javelin in his hand: and David played with [his] hand.1 Samuel 19 verse 9, 1 Samuel 20:7, 9, 13(verse 7) If he say thus, [It is] well; thy servant shall have peace: but if he be very wroth, [then] be sure that evil is determined by him.

(verse 9) And Jonathan said, Far be it from thee: for if I knew certainly that evil were determined by my father to come upon thee, then would not I tell it thee?

(verse 13) The LORD do so and much more to Jonathan: but if it please my father [to do] thee evil, then I will shew it thee, and send thee away, that thou mayest go in peace: and the LORD be with thee, as he hath been with my father.1 Samuel 20 verses 7, 9, 13, 1 Samuel 24:11, 17(verse 11) Moreover, my father, see, yea, see the skirt of thy robe in my hand: for in that I cut off the skirt of thy robe, and killed thee not, know thou and see that [there is] neither evil nor transgression in mine hand, and I have not sinned against thee; yet thou huntest my soul to take it.

(verse 17) And he said to David, Thou [art] more righteous than I: for thou hast rewarded me good, whereas I have rewarded thee evil.1 Samuel 24 verses 11, 17, 1 Samuel 25:3, 17, 21, 26, 28, 39(verse 3) Now the name of the man [was] Nabal; and the name of his wife Abigail: and [she was] a woman of good understanding, and of a beautiful countenance: but the man [was] churlish and evil in his doings; and he [was] of the house of Caleb.

(verse 17) Now therefore know and consider what thou wilt do; for evil is determined against our master, and against all his household: for he [is such] a son of Belial, that [a man] cannot speak to him.

(verse 21) Now David had said, Surely in vain have I kept all that this [fellow] hath in the wilderness, so that nothing was missed of all that [pertained] unto him: and he hath requited me evil for good.

(verse 26) Now therefore, my lord, [as] the LORD liveth, and [as] thy soul liveth, seeing the LORD hath withholden thee from coming to [shed] blood, and from avenging thyself with thine own hand, now let thine enemies, and they that seek evil to my lord, be as Nabal.

(verse 28) I pray thee, forgive the trespass of thine handmaid: for the LORD will certainly make my lord a sure house; because my lord fighteth the battles of the LORD, and evil hath not been found in thee [all] thy days.

(verse 39) And when David heard that Nabal was dead, he said, Blessed [be] the LORD, that hath pleaded the cause of my reproach from the hand of Nabal, and hath kept his servant from evil: for the LORD hath returned the wickedness of Nabal upon his own head. And David sent and communed with Abigail, to take her to him to wife.1 Samuel 25 verses 3, 17, 21, 26, 28, 39, 1 Samuel 26:18And he said, Wherefore doth my lord thus pursue after his servant? for what have I done? or what evil [is] in mine hand?1 Samuel 26 verse 18, 1 Samuel 29:6Then Achish called David, and said unto him, Surely, [as] the LORD liveth, thou hast been upright, and thy going out and thy coming in with me in the host [is] good in my sight: for I have not found evil in thee since the day of thy coming unto me unto this day: nevertheless the lords favour thee not.1 Samuel 29 verse 6

2 Samuel 3:39And I [am] this day weak, though anointed king; and these men the sons of Zeruiah [be] too hard for me: the LORD shall reward the doer of evil according to his wickedness.2 Samuel 3 verse 39, 2 Samuel 12:9, 11(verse 9) Wherefore hast thou despised the commandment of the LORD, to do evil in his sight? thou hast killed Uriah the Hittite with the sword, and hast taken his wife [to be] thy wife, and hast slain him with the sword of the children of Ammon.

(verse 11) Thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will raise up evil against thee out of thine own house, and I will take thy wives before thine eyes, and give [them] unto thy neighbour, and he shall lie with thy wives in the sight of this sun.2 Samuel 12 verses 9, 11, 2 Samuel 13:16And she said unto him, [There is] no cause: this evil in sending me away [is] greater than the other that thou didst unto me. But he would not hearken unto her.2 Samuel 13 verse 16, 2 Samuel 15:14And David said unto all his servants that [were] with him at Jerusalem, Arise, and let us flee; for we shall not [else] escape from Absalom: make speed to depart, lest he overtake us suddenly, and bring evil upon us, and smite the city with the edge of the sword.2 Samuel 15 verse 14, 2 Samuel 17:14And Absalom and all the men of Israel said, The counsel of Hushai the Archite [is] better than the counsel of Ahithophel. For the LORD had appointed to defeat the good counsel of Ahithophel, to the intent that the LORD might bring evil upon Absalom.2 Samuel 17 verse 14, 2 Samuel 19:7, 35(verse 7) Now therefore arise, go forth, and speak comfortably unto thy servants: for I swear by the LORD, if thou go not forth, there will not tarry one with thee this night: and that will be worse unto thee than all the evil that befell thee from thy youth until now.

(verse 35) I [am] this day fourscore years old: [and] can I discern between good and evil? can thy servant taste what I eat or what I drink? can I hear any more the voice of singing men and singing women? wherefore then should thy servant be yet a burden unto my lord the king?2 Samuel 19 verse 7, 35, 2 Samuel 24:16And when the angel stretched out his hand upon Jerusalem to destroy it, the LORD repented him of the evil, and said to the angel that destroyed the people, It is enough: stay now thine hand. And the angel of the LORD was by the threshingplace of Araunah the Jebusite.2 Samuel 24 verse 16

1 Kings 5:4But now the LORD my God hath given me rest on every side, [so that there is] neither adversary nor evil occurrent.1 Kings 5 verse 4, 1 Kings 9:9And they shall answer, Because they forsook the LORD their God, who brought forth their fathers out of the land of Egypt, and have taken hold upon other gods, and have worshipped them, and served them: therefore hath the LORD brought upon them all this evil.1 Kings 9 verse 9, 1 Kings 11:6And Solomon did evil in the sight of the LORD, and went not fully after the LORD, as [did] David his father.1 Kings 11 verse 6, 1 Kings 13:33After this thing Jeroboam returned not from his evil way, but made again of the lowest of the people priests of the high places: whosoever would, he consecrated him, and he became [one] of the priests of the high places.1 Kings 13 verse 33, 1 Kings 14:9-10, 22(verse 9) But hast done evil above all that were before thee: for thou hast gone and made thee other gods, and molten images, to provoke me to anger, and hast cast me behind thy back:

(verse 10) Therefore, behold, I will bring evil upon the house of Jeroboam, and will cut off from Jeroboam him that pisseth against the wall, [and] him that is shut up and left in Israel, and will take away the remnant of the house of Jeroboam, as a man taketh away dung, till it be all gone.

(verse 34) And he did evil in the sight of the LORD, and walked in the way of Jeroboam, and in his sin wherewith he made Israel to sin.1 Kings 15 verses 26, 34, 1 Kings 16:7, 19, 25, 30(verse 7) And also by the hand of the prophet Jehu the son of Hanani came the word of the LORD against Baasha, and against his house, even for all the evil that he did in the sight of the LORD, in provoking him to anger with the work of his hands, in being like the house of Jeroboam; and because he killed him.

(verse 19) For his sins which he sinned in doing evil in the sight of the LORD, in walking in the way of Jeroboam, and in his sin which he did, to make Israel to sin.

(verse 25) But Omri wrought evil in the eyes of the LORD, and did worse than all that [were] before him.

(verse 30) And Ahab the son of Omri did evil in the sight of the LORD above all that [were] before him.1 Kings 16 verses 7, 19, 25, 30, 1 Kings 17:20And he cried unto the LORD, and said, O LORD my God, hast thou also brought evil upon the widow with whom I sojourn, by slaying her son?1 Kings 17 verse 20, 1 Kings 21:20-21, 29(verse 20) And Ahab said to Elijah, Hast thou found me, O mine enemy? (verse 21) Behold, I will bring evil upon thee, and will take away thy posterity, and will cut off from Ahab him that pisseth against the wall, and him that is shut up and left in Israel,

(verse 29) Seest thou how Ahab humbleth himself before me? because he humbleth himself before me, I will not bring the evil in his days: [but] in his son's days will I bring the evil upon his house.1 Kings 21 verses 20-21, 29, 1 Kings 22:8, 18, 23, 52(verse 8) And the king of Israel said unto Jehoshaphat, [There is] yet one man, Micaiah the son of Imlah, by whom we may enquire of the LORD: but I hate him; for he doth not prophesy good concerning me, but evil. And Jehoshaphat said, Let not the king say so.

(verse 18) And the king of Israel said unto Jehoshaphat, Did I not tell thee that he would prophesy no good concerning me, but evil?

(verse 23) Now therefore, behold, the LORD hath put a lying spirit in the mouth of all these thy prophets, and the LORD hath spoken evil concerning thee.

(verse 52) And he did evil in the sight of the LORD, and walked in the way of his father, and in the way of his mother, and in the way of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin:1 Kings 22 verses 8, 18, 23, 52, 2 Kings 3:2And he wrought evil in the sight of the LORD; but not like his father, and like his mother: for he put away the image of Baal that his father had made.2 Kings 3 verse 2, 2 Kings 6:33And while he yet talked with them, behold, the messenger came down unto him: and he said, Behold, this evil [is] of the LORD; what should I wait for the LORD any longer?2 Kings 6 verse 33, 2 Kings 8:12, 18, 27(verse 12) And Hazael said, Why weepeth my lord? And he answered, Because I know the evil that thou wilt do unto the children of Israel: their strong holds wilt thou set on fire, and their young men wilt thou slay with the sword, and wilt dash their children, and rip up their women with child.

(verse 18) And he walked in the way of the kings of Israel, as did the house of Ahab: for the daughter of Ahab was his wife: and he did evil in the sight of the LORD.

(verse 27) And he walked in the way of the house of Ahab, and did evil in the sight of the LORD, as [did] the house of Ahab: for he [was] the son in law of the house of Ahab.2 Kings 8 verses 12, 18, 27, 2 Kings 13:2, 11(verse 2) And he did [that which was] evil in the sight of the LORD, and followed the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, which made Israel to sin; he departed not therefrom.

(verse 13) Yet the LORD testified against Israel, and against Judah, by all the prophets, [and by] all the seers, saying, Turn ye from your evil ways, and keep my commandments [and] my statutes, according to all the law which I commanded your fathers, and which I sent to you by my servants the prophets.

(verse 17) And they caused their sons and their daughters to pass through the fire, and used divination and enchantments, and sold themselves to do evil in the sight of the LORD, to provoke him to anger.2 Kings 17 verses 2, 13, 17, 2 Kings 21:2, 9, 12, 15-16, 20(verse 2) And he did [that which was] evil in the sight of the LORD, after the abominations of the heathen, whom the LORD cast out before the children of Israel.

(verse 9) But they hearkened not: and Manasseh seduced them to do more evil than did the nations whom the LORD destroyed before the children of Israel.

(verse 12) Therefore thus saith the LORD God of Israel, Behold, I [am] bringing [such] evil upon Jerusalem and Judah, that whosoever heareth of it, both his ears shall tingle.

(verse 15) Because they have done [that which was] evil in my sight, and have provoked me to anger, since the day their fathers came forth out of Egypt, even unto this day.

(verse 16) Moreover Manasseh shed innocent blood very much, till he had filled Jerusalem from one end to another; beside his sin wherewith he made Judah to sin, in doing [that which was] evil in the sight of the LORD.

(verse 17) And David said unto God, [Is it] not I [that] commanded the people to be numbered? even I it is that have sinned and done evil indeed; but [as for] these sheep, what have they done? let thine hand, I pray thee, O LORD my God, be on me, and on my father's house; but not on thy people, that they should be plagued.1 Chronicles 21 verses 15, 17

And Jehoshaphat said, Let not the king say so.

(verse 17) And the king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, Did I not tell thee [that] he would not prophesy good unto me, but evil?

(verse 22) Now therefore, behold, the LORD hath put a lying spirit in the mouth of these thy prophets, and the LORD hath spoken evil against thee.2 Chronicles 18 verses 7, 17, 22, 2 Chronicles 20:9If, [when] evil cometh upon us, [as] the sword, judgment, or pestilence, or famine, we stand before this house, and in thy presence, (for thy name [is] in this house,) and cry unto thee in our affliction, then thou wilt hear and help.2 Chronicles 20 verse 9, 2 Chronicles 21:6And he walked in the way of the kings of Israel, like as did the house of Ahab: for he had the daughter of Ahab to wife: and he wrought [that which was] evil in the eyes of the LORD.2 Chronicles 21 verse 6, 2 Chronicles 22:4Wherefore he did evil in the sight of the LORD like the house of Ahab: for they were his counsellors after the death of his father to his destruction.2 Chronicles 22 verse 4, 2 Chronicles 29:6For our fathers have trespassed, and done [that which was] evil in the eyes of the LORD our God, and have forsaken him, and have turned away their faces from the habitation of the LORD, and turned [their] backs.2 Chronicles 29 verse 6, 2 Chronicles 33:2, 6, 22(verse 2) But did [that which was] evil in the sight of the LORD, like unto the abominations of the heathen, whom the LORD had cast out before the children of Israel.

(verse 6) And he caused his children to pass through the fire in the valley of the son of Hinnom: also he observed times, and used enchantments, and used witchcraft, and dealt with a familiar spirit, and with wizards: he wrought much evil in the sight of the LORD, to provoke him to anger.

(verse 22) But he did [that which was] evil in the sight of the LORD, as did Manasseh his father: for Amon sacrificed unto all the carved images which Manasseh his father had made, and served them;2 Chronicles 33 verses 2, 6, 22, 2 Chronicles 34:24, 28(verse 24) Thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will bring evil upon this place, and upon the inhabitants thereof, [even] all the curses that are written in the book which they have read before the king of Judah:

(verse 28) Behold, I will gather thee to thy fathers, and thou shalt be gathered to thy grave in peace, neither shall thine eyes see all the evil that I will bring upon this place, and upon the inhabitants of the same. So they brought the king word again.2 Chronicles 34 verses 24, 28, 2 Chronicles 36:5, 9, 12(verse 5) Jehoiakim [was] twenty and five years old when he began to reign, and he reigned eleven years in Jerusalem: and he did [that which was] evil in the sight of the LORD his God.

(verse 9) Jehoiachin [was] eight years old when he began to reign, and he reigned three months and ten days in Jerusalem: and he did [that which was] evil in the sight of the LORD.

(verse 12) And he did [that which was] evil in the sight of the LORD his God, [and] humbled not himself before Jeremiah the prophet [speaking] from the mouth of the LORD.2 Chronicles 36 verses 5, 9, 12

Ezra 9:13And after all that is come upon us for our evil deeds, and for our great trespass, seeing that thou our God hast punished us less than our iniquities [deserve], and hast given us [such] deliverance as this.Ezra 9 verse 13, Nehemiah 6:13Therefore [was] he hired, that I should be afraid, and do so, and sin, and [that] they might have [matter] for an evil report, that they might reproach me.Nehemiah 6 verse 13, Nehemiah 9:28But after they had rest, they did evil again before thee: therefore leftest thou them in the hand of their enemies, so that they had the dominion over them: yet when they returned, and cried unto thee, thou heardest [them] from heaven; and many times didst thou deliver them according to thy mercies.Nehemiah 9 verse 28, Nehemiah 13:7, 17-18, 27(verse 7) And I came to Jerusalem, and understood of the evil that Eliashib did for Tobiah, in preparing him a chamber in the courts of the house of God.

(verse 17) Then I contended with the nobles of Judah, and said unto them, What evil thing [is] this that ye do, and profane the sabbath day?

(verse 18) Did not your fathers thus, and did not our God bring all this evil upon us, and upon this city? yet ye bring more wrath upon Israel by profaning the sabbath.

(verse 27) Shall we then hearken unto you to do all this great evil, to transgress against our God in marrying strange wives?Nehemiah 13 verses 7, 17-18, 27, Esther 7:7And the king arising from the banquet of wine in his wrath [went] into the palace garden: and Haman stood up to make request for his life to Esther the queen; for he saw that there was evil determined against him by the king.Esther 7 verse 7, Esther 8:6For how can I endure to see the evil that shall come unto my people? or how can I endure to see the destruction of my kindred?Esther 8 verse 6

Job 1:1, 8(verse 1) There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name [was] Job; and that man was perfect and upright, and one that feared God, and eschewed evil.

(verse 8) And the LORD said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that [there is] none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil?Job 1 verses 1, 8, Job 2:3, 10-11(verse 3) And the LORD said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that [there is] none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil? and still he holdeth fast his integrity, although thou movedst me against him, to destroy him without cause.

(verse 10) But he said unto her, Thou speakest as one of the foolish women speaketh. What? shall we receive good at the hand of God, and shall we not receive evil? In all this did not Job sin with his lips.

(verse 11) Now when Job's three friends heard of all this evil that was come upon him, they came every one from his own place; Eliphaz the Temanite, and Bildad the Shuhite, and Zophar the Naamathite: for they had made an appointment together to come to mourn with him and to comfort him.Job 2 verses 3, 10-11, Job 5:19He shall deliver thee in six troubles: yea, in seven there shall no evil touch thee.Job 5 verse 19, Job 8:20Behold, God will not cast away a perfect [man], neither will he help the evil doers:Job 8 verse 20, Job 24:21He evil entreateth the barren [that] beareth not: and doeth not good to the widow.Job 24 verse 21, Job 28:28And unto man he said, Behold, the fear of the Lord, that [is] wisdom; and to depart from evil [is] understanding.Job 28 verse 28, Job 30:26When I looked for good, then evil came [unto me]: and when I waited for light, there came darkness.Job 30 verse 26, Job 31:29-30(verse 29) If I rejoiced at the destruction of him that hated me, or lifted up myself when evil found him:

(verse 30) Neither have I suffered my mouth to sin by wishing a curse to his soul.Job 31 verses 29-30, Job 35:12There they cry, but none giveth answer, because of the pride of evil men.Job 35 verse 12, Job 42:11Then came there unto him all his brethren, and all his sisters, and all they that had been of his acquaintance before, and did eat bread with him in his house: and they bemoaned him, and comforted him over all the evil that the LORD had brought upon him: every man also gave him a piece of money, and every one an earring of gold.Job 42 verse 11

(verse 21) Evil shall slay the wicked: and they that hate the righteous shall be desolate.Psalm 34 verses 13-14, 16, 21, Psalm 35:12They rewarded me evil for good [to] the spoiling of my soul.Psalm 35 verse 12, Psalm 36:4He deviseth mischief upon his bed; he setteth himself in a way [that is] not good; he abhorreth not evil.Psalm 36 verse 4, Psalm 37:8, 19, 27(verse 8) Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil.

(verse 19) They shall not be ashamed in the evil time: and in the days of famine they shall be satisfied.

Proverbs 1:16, 33(verse 16) For their feet run to evil, and make haste to shed blood.

(verse 33) But whoso hearkeneth unto me shall dwell safely, and shall be quiet from fear of evil.Proverbs 1 verses 16, 33, Proverbs 2:12-17(verse 12) To deliver thee from the way of the evil [man], from the man that speaketh froward things;

(verse 19) The evil bow before the good; and the wicked at the gates of the righteous.

(verse 6) By mercy and truth iniquity is purged: and by the fear of the LORD [men] depart from evil.

(verse 17) The highway of the upright [is] to depart from evil: he that keepeth his way preserveth his soul.

(verse 27) An ungodly man diggeth up evil: and in his lips [there is] as a burning fire.

(verse 30) He shutteth his eyes to devise froward things: moving his lips he bringeth evil to pass.Proverbs 16 verses 4, 6, 17, 27, 30, Proverbs 17:11, 13(verse 11) An evil [man] seeketh only rebellion: therefore a cruel messenger shall be sent against him.

Ecclesiastes 2:21For there is a man whose labour [is] in wisdom, and in knowledge, and in equity; yet to a man that hath not laboured therein shall he leave it [for] his portion. This also [is] vanity and a great evil.Ecclesiastes 2 verse 21, Ecclesiastes 4:3Yea, better [is he] than both they, which hath not yet been, who hath not seen the evil work that is done under the sun.Ecclesiastes 4 verse 3, Ecclesiastes 5:1, 13-16(verse 1) Keep thy foot when thou goest to the house of God, and be more ready to hear, than to give the sacrifice of fools: for they consider not that they do evil.

(verse 13) There is a sore evil [which] I have seen under the sun, [namely], riches kept for the owners thereof to their hurt.

(verse 14) But those riches perish by evil travail: and he begetteth a son, and [there is] nothing in his hand.

(verse 15) As he came forth of his mother's womb, naked shall he return to go as he came, and shall take nothing of his labour, which he may carry away in his hand.

(verse 16) And this also [is] a sore evil, [that] in all points as he came, so shall he go: and what profit hath he that hath laboured for the wind?Ecclesiastes 5 verses 1, 13-16, Ecclesiastes 6:1-2(verse 1) There is an evil which I have seen under the sun, and it [is] common among men:

(verse 2) A man to whom God hath given riches, wealth, and honour, so that he wanteth nothing for his soul of all that he desireth, yet God giveth him not power to eat thereof, but a stranger eateth it: this [is] vanity, and it [is] an evil disease.Ecclesiastes 6 verses 1-2, Ecclesiastes 8:3, 5, 11-12(verse 3) Be not hasty to go out of his sight: stand not in an evil thing; for he doeth whatsoever pleaseth him.

(verse 5) Whoso keepeth the commandment shall feel no evil thing: and a wise man's heart discerneth both time and judgment.

(verse 11) Because sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil.

(verse 12) Though a sinner do evil an hundred times, and his [days] be prolonged, yet surely I know that it shall be well with them that fear God, which fear before him.Ecclesiastes 8 verses 3, 5, 11-12, Ecclesiastes 9:3, 12(verse 3) This [is] an evil among all [things] that are done under the sun, that [there is] one event unto all: yea, also the heart of the sons of men is full of evil, and madness [is] in their heart while they live, and after that [they go] to the dead.

(verse 12) For man also knoweth not his time: as the fishes that are taken in an evil net, and as the birds that are caught in the snare; so [are] the sons of men snared in an evil time, when it falleth suddenly upon them.Ecclesiastes 9 verses 3, 12, Ecclesiastes 10:5There is an evil [which] I have seen under the sun, as an error [which] proceedeth from the ruler.Ecclesiastes 10 verse 5, Ecclesiastes 11:2, 10(verse 2) Give a portion to seven, and also to eight; for thou knowest not what evil shall be upon the earth.

(verse 10) Therefore remove sorrow from thy heart, and put away evil from thy flesh: for childhood and youth [are] vanity.Ecclesiastes 11 verses 2, 10, Ecclesiastes 12:1, 14(verse 1) Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth, while the evil days come not, nor the years draw nigh, when thou shalt say, I have no pleasure in them;

(verse 14) For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether [it be] good, or whether [it be] evil.Ecclesiastes 12 verses 1, 14

Isaiah 1:16Wash you, make you clean; put away the evil of your doings from before mine eyes; cease to do evil.Isaiah 1 verse 16, Isaiah 3:9The shew of their countenance doth witness against them; and they declare their sin as Sodom, they hide [it] not. Woe unto their soul! for they have rewarded evil unto themselves.Isaiah 3 verse 9, Isaiah 5:20Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!Isaiah 5 verse 20, Isaiah 7:5, 15-16(verse 5) Because Syria, Ephraim, and the son of Remaliah, have taken evil counsel against thee, saying,

(verse 15) Butter and honey shall he eat, that he may know to refuse the evil, and choose the good.

Jeremiah 1:14Then the LORD said unto me, Out of the north an evil shall break forth upon all the inhabitants of the land.Jeremiah 1 verse 14, Jeremiah 2:3, 19(verse 3) Israel [was] holiness unto the LORD, [and] the firstfruits of his increase: all that devour him shall offend; evil shall come upon them, saith the LORD.

(verse 19) Thine own wickedness shall correct thee, and thy backslidings shall reprove thee: know therefore and see that [it is] an evil [thing] and bitter, that thou hast forsaken the LORD thy God, and that my fear [is] not in thee, saith the Lord GOD of hosts.Jeremiah 2 verses 3, 19, Jeremiah 3:5, 17(verse 5) Will he reserve [his anger] for ever? will he keep [it] to the end? Behold, thou hast spoken and done evil things as thou couldest.

(verse 17) At that time they shall call Jerusalem the throne of the LORD; and all the nations shall be gathered unto it, to the name of the LORD, to Jerusalem: neither shall they walk any more after the imagination of their evil heart.Jeremiah 3 verses 5, 17, Jeremiah 4:4, 6, 22(verse 4) Circumcise yourselves to the LORD, and take away the foreskins of your heart, ye men of Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem: lest my fury come forth like fire, and burn that none can quench [it], because of the evil of your doings.

(verse 6) Set up the standard toward Zion: retire, stay not: for I will bring evil from the north, and a great destruction.

(verse 22) For my people [is] foolish, they have not known me; they [are] sottish children, and they have none understanding: they [are] wise to do evil, but to do good they have no knowledge.Jeremiah 4 verses 4, 6, 22, Jeremiah 5:12They have belied the LORD, and said, [It is] not he; neither shall evil come upon us; neither shall we see sword nor famine.Jeremiah 5 verse 12, Jeremiah 6:1, 19(verse 1) O ye children of Benjamin, gather yourselves to flee out of the midst of Jerusalem, and blow the trumpet in Tekoa, and set up a sign of fire in Bethhaccerem: for evil appeareth out of the north, and great destruction.

(verse 19) Hear, O earth: behold, I will bring evil upon this people, [even] the fruit of their thoughts, because they have not hearkened unto my words, nor to my law, but rejected it.Jeremiah 6 verses 1, 19, Jeremiah 7:24, 30(verse 24) But they hearkened not, nor inclined their ear, but walked in the counsels [and] in the imagination of their evil heart, and went backward, and not forward.

(verse 30) For the children of Judah have done evil in my sight, saith the LORD: they have set their abominations in the house which is called by my name, to pollute it.Jeremiah 7 verses , Jeremiah 8:3And death shall be chosen rather than life by all the residue of them that remain of this evil family, which remain in all the places whither I have driven them, saith the LORD of hosts.Jeremiah 8 verse 3, Jeremiah 9:3And they bend their tongues [like] their bow [for] lies: but they are not valiant for the truth upon the earth; for they proceed from evil to evil, and they know not me, saith the LORD.Jeremiah 9 verse 3, Jeremiah 10:5They [are] upright as the palm tree, but speak not: they must needs be borne, because they cannot go. Be not afraid of them; for they cannot do evil, neither also [is it] in them to do good.Jeremiah 10 verse 5, Jeremiah 11:8, 11, 15, 17, 23(verse 8) Yet they obeyed not, nor inclined their ear, but walked every one in the imagination of their evil heart: therefore I will bring upon them all the words of this covenant, which I commanded [them] to do; but they did [them] not.

(verse 11) Therefore thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will bring evil upon them, which they shall not be able to escape; and though they shall cry unto me, I will not hearken unto them.

(verse 15) What hath my beloved to do in mine house, [seeing] she hath wrought lewdness with many, and the holy flesh is passed from thee? when thou doest evil, then thou rejoicest.

(verse 17) For the LORD of hosts, that planted thee, hath pronounced evil against thee, for the evil of the house of Israel and of the house of Judah, which they have done against themselves to provoke me to anger in offering incense unto Baal.

(verse 23) And there shall be no remnant of them: for I will bring evil upon the men of Anathoth, [even] the year of their visitation.Jeremiah 11 verses 8, 11, 15, 17, 23, Jeremiah 12:14Thus saith the LORD against all mine evil neighbours, that touch the inheritance which I have caused my people Israel to inherit; Behold, I will pluck them out of their land, and pluck out the house of Judah from among them.Jeremiah 12 verse 14, Jeremiah 13:10, 23(verse 10) This evil people, which refuse to hear my words, which walk in the imagination of their heart, and walk after other gods, to serve them, and to worship them, shall even be as this girdle, which is good for nothing.

(verse 23) Can the Ethiopian change his skin, or the leopard his spots? [then] may ye also do good, that are accustomed to do evil.Jeremiah 13 verses 10, 23, Jeremiah 15:11The LORD said, Verily it shall be well with thy remnant; verily I will cause the enemy to entreat thee [well] in the time of evil and in the time of affliction.Jeremiah 15 verse 11, Jeremiah 16:10, 12(verse 10) And it shall come to pass, when thou shalt shew this people all these words, and they shall say unto thee, Wherefore hath the LORD pronounced all this great evil against us? or what [is] our iniquity? or what [is] our sin that we have committed against the LORD our God?

(verse 12) And ye have done worse than your fathers; for, behold, ye walk every one after the imagination of his evil heart, that they may not hearken unto me:Jeremiah 16 verses 10, 12, Jeremiah 17:17-18(verse 17) Be not a terror unto me: thou [art] my hope in the day of evil.

(verse 18) Let them be confounded that persecute me, but let not me be confounded: let them be dismayed, but let not me be dismayed: bring upon them the day of evil, and destroy them with double destruction.Jeremiah 17 verses 17-18, Jeremiah 18:8, 10-12, 20(verse 8) If that nation, against whom I have pronounced, turn from their evil, I will repent of the evil that I thought to do unto them.

(verse 10) If it do evil in my sight, that it obey not my voice, then I will repent of the good, wherewith I said I would benefit them.

(verse 11) Now therefore go to, speak to the men of Judah, and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, saying, Thus saith the LORD; Behold, I frame evil against you, and devise a device against you: return ye now every one from his evil way, and make your ways and your doings good.

(verse 12) And they said, There is no hope: but we will walk after our own devices, and we will every one do the imagination of his evil heart.

(verse 20) Shall evil be recompensed for good? for they have digged a pit for my soul. Remember that I stood before thee to speak good for them, [and] to turn away thy wrath from them.Jeremiah 18 verses 8, 10-12, 20, Jeremiah 19:3, 15(verse 3) And say, Hear ye the word of the LORD, O kings of Judah, and inhabitants of Jerusalem; Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will bring evil upon this place, the which whosoever heareth, his ears shall tingle.

(verse 15) Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will bring upon this city and upon all her towns all the evil that I have pronounced against it, because they have hardened their necks, that they might not hear my words.Jeremiah 19 verses 3, 15, Jeremiah 21:10, 12(verse 10) For I have set my face against this city for evil, and not for good, saith the LORD: it shall be given into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall burn it with fire.

(verse 12) O house of David, thus saith the LORD; Execute judgment in the morning, and deliver [him that is] spoiled out of the hand of the oppressor, lest my fury go out like fire, and burn that none can quench [it], because of the evil of your doings.Jeremiah 21 verses 10, 12, Jeremiah 23:2, 10, 12, 17, 22(verse 2) Therefore thus saith the LORD God of Israel against the pastors that feed my people; Ye have scattered my flock, and driven them away, and have not visited them: behold, I will visit upon you the evil of your doings, saith the LORD.

(verse 10) For the land is full of adulterers; for because of swearing the land mourneth; the pleasant places of the wilderness are dried up, and their course is evil, and their force [is] not right.

(verse 12) Wherefore their way shall be unto them as slippery [ways] in the darkness: they shall be driven on, and fall therein: for I will bring evil upon them, [even] the year of their visitation, saith the LORD.

(verse 17) They say still unto them that despise me, The LORD hath said, Ye shall have peace; and they say unto every one that walketh after the imagination of his own heart, No evil shall come upon you.

(verse 22) But if they had stood in my counsel, and had caused my people to hear my words, then they should have turned them from their evil way, and from the evil of their doings.Jeremiah 23 verses 2, 10, 12, 17, 22, Jeremiah 24:3, 8(verse 3) Then said the LORD unto me, What seest thou, Jeremiah? And I said, Figs; the good figs, very good; and the evil, very evil, that cannot be eaten, they are so evil.

(verse 8) And as the evil figs, which cannot be eaten, they are so evil; surely thus saith the LORD, So will I give Zedekiah the king of Judah, and his princes, and the residue of Jerusalem, that remain in this land, and them that dwell in the land of Egypt:Jeremiah 24 verses 3, 8, Jeremiah 25:5, 29, 32(verse 5) They said, Turn ye again now every one from his evil way, and from the evil of your doings, and dwell in the land that the LORD hath given unto you and to your fathers for ever and ever:

(verse 29) For, lo, I begin to bring evil on the city which is called by my name, and should ye be utterly unpunished? Ye shall not be unpunished: for I will call for a sword upon all the inhabitants of the earth, saith the LORD of hosts.

(verse 32) Thus saith the LORD of hosts, Behold, evil shall go forth from nation to nation, and a great whirlwind shall be raised up from the coasts of the earth.Jeremiah 25 verses 5, 29, 32, Jeremiah 26:3, 13, 19(verse 3) If so be they will hearken, and turn every man from his evil way, that I may repent me of the evil, which I purpose to do unto them because of the evil of their doings.

(verse 13) Therefore now amend your ways and your doings, and obey the voice of the LORD your God; and the LORD will repent him of the evil that he hath pronounced against you.

(verse 19) Did Hezekiah king of Judah and all Judah put him at all to death? did he not fear the LORD, and besought the LORD, and the LORD repented him of the evil which he had pronounced against them? Thus might we procure great evil against our souls.Jeremiah 26 verses 3, 13, 19, Jeremiah 28:8The prophets that have been before me and before thee of old prophesied both against many countries, and against great kingdoms, of war, and of evil, and of pestilence.Jeremiah 28 , Jeremiah 29:11, 17(verse 11) For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

(verse 17) Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Behold, I will send upon them the sword, the famine, and the pestilence, and will make them like vile figs, that cannot be eaten, they are so evil.Jeremiah 29 verses 11, 17, Jeremiah 32:23, 30, 32, 42(verse 23) And they came in, and possessed it; but they obeyed not thy voice, neither walked in thy law; they have done nothing of all that thou commandedst them to do: therefore thou hast caused all this evil to come upon them:

(verse 30) For the children of Israel and the children of Judah have only done evil before me from their youth: for the children of Israel have only provoked me to anger with the work of their hands, saith the LORD.

(verse 32) Because of all the evil of the children of Israel and of the children of Judah, which they have done to provoke me to anger, they, their kings, their princes, their priests, and their prophets, and the men of Judah, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem.

(verse 42) For thus saith the LORD; Like as I have brought all this great evil upon this people, so will I bring upon them all the good that I have promised them.Jeremiah 32 verses 23, 30, 32, 42, Jeremiah 35:15, 17(verse 15) I have sent also unto you all my servants the prophets, rising up early and sending [them], saying, Return ye now every man from his evil way, and amend your doings, and go not after other gods to serve them, and ye shall dwell in the land which I have given to you and to your fathers: but ye have not inclined your ear, nor hearkened unto me.

(verse 17) Therefore thus saith the LORD God of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will bring upon Judah and upon all the inhabitants of Jerusalem all the evil that I have pronounced against them: because I have spoken unto them, but they have not heard; and I have called unto them, but they have not answered.Jeremiah 35 verses 15, 17, Jeremiah 36:3, 7, 31(verse 3) It may be that the house of Judah will hear all the evil which I purpose to do unto them; that they may return every man from his evil way; that I may forgive their iniquity and their sin.

(verse 7) It may be they will present their supplication before the LORD, and will return every one from his evil way: for great [is] the anger and the fury that the LORD hath pronounced against this people.

(verse 31) And I will punish him and his seed and his servants for their iniquity; and I will bring upon them, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and upon the men of Judah, all the evil that I have pronounced against them; but they hearkened not.Jeremiah 36 verses 3, 7, 31, Jeremiah 38:9My lord the king, these men have done evil in all that they have done to Jeremiah the prophet, whom they have cast into the dungeon; and he is like to die for hunger in the place where he is: for [there is] no more bread in the city.Jeremiah 38 verse 9, Jeremiah 39:16Go and speak to Ebedmelech the Ethiopian, saying, Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will bring my words upon this city for evil, and not for good; and they shall be [accomplished] in that day before thee.Jeremiah 39 verse 16, Jeremiah 40:2And the captain of the guard took Jeremiah, and said unto him, The LORD thy God hath pronounced this evil upon this place.Jeremiah 40 verse 2, Jeremiah 41:11But when Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the captains of the forces that [were] with him, heard of all the evil that Ishmael the son of Nethaniah had done.Jeremiah 41 verse 11, Jeremiah 42:6, 10, 17(verse 6) Whether [it be] good, or whether [it be] evil, we will obey the voice of the LORD our God, to whom we send thee; that it may be well with us, when we obey the voice of the LORD our God.

(verse 10) If ye will still abide in this land, then will I build you, and not pull [you] down, and I will plant you, and not pluck [you] up: for I repent me of the evil that I have done unto you.

(verse 17) So shall it be with all the men that set their faces to go into Egypt to sojourn there; they shall die by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence: and none of them shall remain or escape from the evil that I will bring upon them.Jeremiah 42 verses 6, 10, 17, Jeremiah 44:2, 7, 11, 17, 22-23, 27-29, Jeremiah 45:5And seekest thou great things for thyself? seek [them] not: for, behold, I will bring evil upon all flesh, saith the LORD: but thy life will I give unto thee for a prey in all places whither thou goest.Jeremiah 45 verse 5, Jeremiah 48:2[There shall be] no more praise of Moab: in Heshbon they have devised evil against it; come, and let us cut it off from [being] a nation. Hamath is confounded, and Arpad: for they have heard evil tidings: they are fainthearted; [there is] sorrow on the sea; it cannot be quiet.

(verse 37) For I will cause Elam to be dismayed before their enemies, and before them that seek their life: and I will bring evil upon them, [even] my fierce anger, saith the LORD; and I will send the sword after them, till I have consumed them:Jeremiah 49 verses 23, 37, Jeremiah 51:24, 60, 64(verse 24) And I will render unto Babylon and to all the inhabitants of Chaldea all their evil that they have done in Zion in your sight, saith the LORD.

(verse 60) So Jeremiah wrote in a book all the evil that should come upon Babylon, [even] all these words that are written against Babylon.

(verse 64) And thou shalt say, Thus shall Babylon sink, and shall not rise from the evil that I will bring upon her: and they shall be weary. Lamentations 3:38Out of the mouth of the most High proceedeth not evil and good?Lamentations 3 verse 38, Ezekiel 5:16-17(verse 16) When I shall send upon them the evil arrows of famine, which shall be for [their] destruction, [and] which I will send to destroy you: and I will increase the famine upon you, and will break your staff of bread:

(verse 17) So will I send upon you famine and evil beasts, and they shall bereave thee; and pestilence and blood shall pass through thee; and I will bring the sword upon thee. I the LORD have spoken [it].Ezekiel 5 verses 16-17, Ezekiel 6:10-11(verse 10) And they shall know that I [am] the LORD, [and that] I have not said in vain that I would do this evil unto them.

Daniel 9:12-14(verse 12) And he hath confirmed his words, which he spake against us, and against our judges that judged us, by bringing upon us a great evil: for under the whole heaven hath not been done as hath been done upon Jerusalem.

(verse 13) As [it is] written in the law of Moses, all this evil is come upon us: yet made we not our prayer before the LORD our God, that we might turn from our iniquities, and understand thy truth.

(verse 14) Therefore hath the LORD watched upon the evil, and brought it upon us: for the LORD our God [is] righteous in all his works which he doeth: for we obeyed not his voice.Daniel 9 verses 12-14, Joel 2:13And rend your heart, and not your garments, and turn unto the LORD your God: for he [is] gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repenteth him of the evil.Joel 2 verse 13, Amos 3:6Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done [it]?Amos 3 verse 6, Amos 5:13-15(verse 13) Therefore the prudent shall keep silence in that time; for it [is] an evil time.

(verse 14) Seek good, and not evil, that ye may live: and so the LORD, the God of hosts, shall be with you, as ye have spoken.

(verse 15) Hate the evil, and love the good, and establish judgment in the gate: it may be that the LORD God of hosts will be gracious unto the remnant of Joseph.Amos 5 verses 13-15, Amos 6:3Ye that put far away the evil day, and cause the seat of violence to come near;Amos 6 verse 3, Amos 9:4, 10(verse 4) And though they go into captivity before their enemies, thence will I command the sword, and it shall slay them: and I will set mine eyes upon them for evil, and not for good.

(verse 10) All the sinners of my people shall die by the sword, which say, The evil shall not overtake nor prevent us.Amos 9 verses 4, 10, Jonah 1:7-8(verse 7) And they said every one to his fellow, Come, and let us cast lots, that we may know for whose cause this evil [is] upon us. So they cast lots, and the lot fell upon Jonah.

(verse 8) Then said they unto him, Tell us, we pray thee, for whose cause this evil [is] upon us; What [is] thine occupation? and whence comest thou? what [is] thy country? and of what people [art] thou?Jonah 1 verses 7-8, Jonah 3:8-10(verse 8) But let man and beast be covered with sackcloth, and cry mightily unto God: yea, let them turn every one from his evil way, and from the violence that [is] in their hands.

(verse 9) Who can tell [if] God will turn and repent, and turn away from his fierce anger, that we perish not?

(verse 10) And God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way; and God repented of the evil, that he had said that he would do unto them; and he did [it] not.Jonah 3 verses 8-10, Jonah 4:2And he prayed unto the LORD, and said, I pray thee, O LORD, [was] not this my saying, when I was yet in my country? Therefore I fled before unto Tarshish: for I knew that thou [art] a gracious God, and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repentest thee of the evil.Jonah 4 verse 2

Micah 1:12For the inhabitant of Maroth waited carefully for good: but evil came down from the LORD unto the gate of Jerusalem.Micah 1 verse 12, Micah 2:1, 3(verse 1) Woe to them that devise iniquity, and work evil upon their beds! when the morning is light, they practise it, because it is in the power of their hand.

(verse 6) Therefore thus saith the LORD; Behold, against this family do I devise an evil, from which ye shall not remove your necks; neither shall ye go haughtily: for this time [is] evil.Micah 2 verses 1, 3, Micah 3:2, 11(verse 2) Who hate the good, and love the evil; who pluck off their skin from off them, and their flesh from off their bones;

Matthew 5:11, 37, 39, 45(verse 11) Blessed are ye, when [men] shall revile you, and persecute [you], and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.

(verse 37) But let your communication be, Yea, yea; Nay, nay: for whatsoever is more than these cometh of evil.

(verse 39) But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also.

(verse 45) That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.Matthew 5 verses 11, 37, 39, 45, Matthew 6:13, 23, 34(verse 13) And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

(verse 23) But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great [is] that darkness!

(verse 34) Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day [is] the evil thereof.Matthew 6 verses , Matthew 7:11, 17-18(verse 11) If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?

(verse 17) Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.

(verse 22) Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness:

(verse 35) But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and [to] the evil.

(verse 29) And when the people were gathered thick together, he began to say, This is an evil generation: they seek a sign; and there shall no sign be given it, but the sign of Jonas the prophet.

John 3:19-20(verse 19) And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. Acts 7:6, 19(verse 6) And God spake on this wise, That his seed should sojourn in a strange land; and that they should bring them into bondage, and entreat [them] evil four hundred years.

(verse 19) The same dealt subtilly with our kindred, and evil entreated our fathers, so that they cast out their young children, to the end they might not live.Acts 7 verses 6, 19, Acts 9:13Then Ananias answered, Lord, I have heard by many of this man, how much evil he hath done to thy saints at Jerusalem.Acts 9 verse 13, Acts 14:2But the unbelieving Jews stirred up the Gentiles, and made their minds evil affected against the brethren.Acts 14 verse 2, Acts 19:9, 12-13, 15-16(verse 9) But when divers were hardened, and believed not, but spake evil of that way before the multitude, he departed from them, and separated the disciples, disputing daily in the school of one Tyrannus.

(verse 12) So that from his body were brought unto the sick handkerchiefs or aprons, and the diseases departed from them, and the evil spirits went out of them.

(verse 13) Then certain of the vagabond Jews, exorcists, took upon them to call over them which had evil spirits the name of the Lord Jesus, saying, We adjure you by Jesus whom Paul preacheth.

(verse 15) And the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye?

(verse 16) And the man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them, and overcame them, and prevailed against them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded. Acts 19 verses 9, 12-13, 15-16, Acts 23:5, 9(verse 5) Then said Paul, I wist not, brethren, that he was the high priest: for it is written, Thou shalt not speak evil of the ruler of thy people.

(verse 9) And there arose a great cry: and the scribes [that were] of the Pharisees' part arose, and strove, saying, We find no evil in this man: but if a spirit or an angel hath spoken to him, let us not fight against God.Acts 23 verses , Acts 24:20Or else let these same [here] say, if they have found any evil doing in me, while I stood before the council.Acts 24 verse 20

Romans 1:30Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents.Romans 1 verse 30, Romans 2:9Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile;Romans 2 verse 9, Romans 3:8And not [rather], (as we be slanderously reported, and as some affirm that we say,) Let us do evil, that good may come? whose damnation is just.Romans 3 verse 8, Romans 7:19, 21(verse 19) For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do.

(verse 21) I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me.Romans 7 verses 19, 21, Romans 9:11(For [the children] being not yet born, neither having done any good or evil, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of him that calleth.)Romans 9 verse 11, Romans 12:9, 17, 21(verse 9) [Let] love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good.

(verse 17) Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men.

(verse 21) Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.Romans 12 verses 9, 17, 21, Romans 13:3-4(verse 3) For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same:

(verse 4) For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to [execute] wrath upon him that doeth evil.Romans 13 verses 3-4, Romans 14:16, 20(verse 16) Let not then your good be evil spoken of:

(verse 20) For meat destroy not the work of God. All things indeed [are] pure; but [it is] evil for that man who eateth with offence.Romans 14 verses 16, 20

1 Corinthians 10:6, 30(verse 6) Now these things were our examples, to the intent we should not lust after evil things, as they also lusted.

Philippians 3:2Beware of dogs, beware of evil workers, beware of the concision.Philippians 3 verse 2, Colossians 3:5Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry:Colossians 3 verse 5, 1 Thessalonians 5:15, 22(verse 15) See that none render evil for evil unto any [man]; but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves, and to all [men].

(verse 22) Abstain from all appearance of evil.1 Thessalonians 5 verses 15, 22, 2 Thessalonians 3:3But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep [you] from evil.2 Thessalonians 3 verse 3, 1 Timothy 6:4, 10(verse 4) He is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings,

(verse 10) For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.1 Timothy 6 verses 4, 10, 2 Timothy 2:9Wherein I suffer trouble, as an evil doer, [even] unto bonds; but the word of God is not bound.2 Timothy 2 verse 9, 2 Timothy 3:13But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.2 Timothy 3 verse 13, 2 Timothy 4:14, 18(verse 14) Alexander the coppersmith did me much evil: the Lord reward him according to his works:

(verse 18) And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve [me] unto his heavenly kingdom: to whom [be] glory for ever and ever. Amen.2 Timothy 4 verses 14, 18

Titus 1:12One of themselves, [even] a prophet of their own, said, The Cretians [are] alway liars, evil beasts, slow bellies.Titus 1 verse 12, Titus 2:8Sound speech, that cannot be condemned; that he that is of the contrary part may be ashamed, having no evil thing to say of you.Titus 2 verse 8, Titus 3:2To speak evil of no man, to be no brawlers, [but] gentle, shewing all meekness unto all men.Titus 3 verse 2, Hebrews 3:12Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.Hebrews 3 verse 12, Hebrews 5:14But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, [even] those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.Hebrews 5 verse 14, Hebrews 10:22Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.Hebrews 10 verse 22, James 1:13Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man:James 1 verse 13, James 2:4Are ye not then partial in yourselves, and are become judges of evil thoughts?James 2 verse 4, James 3:8, 16(verse 8) But the tongue can no man tame; [it is] an unruly evil, full of deadly poison.

(verse 16) For where envying and strife [is], there [is] confusion and every evil work.James 3 verses 8, 16, James 4:11, 16(verse 11) Speak not evil one of another, brethren. He that speaketh evil of [his] brother, and judgeth his brother, speaketh evil of the law, and judgeth the law: but if thou judge the law, thou art not a doer of the law, but a judge.

(verse 16) But now ye rejoice in your boastings: all such rejoicing is evil.James 4 verses 11, 16

1 Peter 2:1Wherefore laying aside all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, and all evil speakings.1 Peter 2 verse 1, 1 Peter 3:9-12, 16-17(verse 9) Not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing: but contrariwise blessing; knowing that ye are thereunto called, that ye should inherit a blessing.

(verse 10) For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile:

(verse 11) Let him eschew evil, and do good; let him seek peace, and ensue it.

(verse 12) For the eyes of the Lord [are] over the righteous, and his ears [are open] unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord [is] against them that do evil.

(verse 16) Having a good conscience; that, whereas they speak evil of you, as of evildoers, they may be ashamed that falsely accuse your good conversation in Christ.

(verse 17) For [it is] better, if the will of God be so, that ye suffer for well doing, than for evil doing.1 Peter 3 verses 9-12, 16-17, 1 Peter 4:4, 14(verse 4) Wherein they think it strange that ye run not with [them] to the same excess of riot, speaking evil of [you]:

(verse 14) If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy [are ye]; for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you: on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified.1 Peter 4 verses 4, 14, 2 Peter 2:2, 10, 12(verse 2) And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.

(verse 10) But chiefly them that walk after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness, and despise government. Presumptuous [are they], selfwilled, they are not afraid to speak evil of dignities.

(verse 12) But these, as natural brute beasts, made to be taken and destroyed, speak evil of the things that they understand not; and shall utterly perish in their own corruption.2 Peter 2 verses 2, 10, 12, 1 John 3:12Not as Cain, [who] was of that wicked one, and slew his brother. And wherefore slew he him? Because his own works were evil, and his brother's righteous.1 John 3 verse 12, 2 John 1:11For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.2 John 1 verse 11, 3 John 1:11Beloved, follow not that which is evil, but that which is good. He that doeth good is of God: but he that doeth evil hath not seen God.3 John 1 verse 11, Jude 1:8, 10(verse 8) Likewise also these [filthy] dreamers defile the flesh, despise dominion, and speak evil of dignities.

(verse 10) But these speak evil of those things which they know not: but what they know naturally, as brute beasts, in those things they corrupt themselves.Jude 1 verses , Revelation 2:2I know thy works, and thy labour, and thy patience, and how thou canst not bear them which are evil: and thou hast tried them which say they are apostles, and are not, and hast found them liars.Revelation 2 verse 2
