Scoffing, discrimination, imprisonment, execution... are you ready to stand up for Jesus Christ?

Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf... 1 Peter 4:16-19 Bible quote (verse 16) Yet if [any man suffer] as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf.

(verse 17) For the time [is come] that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if [it] first [begin] at us, what shall the end [be] of them that obey not the gospel of God?

(verse 18) And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?

(verse 19) Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls [to him] in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator.1 Peter 4 verses 16-19

I see many people talking a big talk but I watch people and observe. That is all a lot of people do is 'talk' to impress. When it actually comes to taking a public stand most run and hide. May God help those who have made a weak pansy out of Jesus. Until you are willing to give everything up, to risk everything and leave your comfort zone you will NEVER be used by God. Persecution is coming to separate the sheep from the goats (Matthew 25:31-34, 41 Bible quote (verse 31) When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:

(verse 32) And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth [his] sheep from the goats:

(verse 33) And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.

(verse 34) Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:

(verse 41) Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels.Matthew 25 verses 31-34, 41) and only totally surrendered disciples will be left standing when the fog clears... The joy poppers are going back to drugs...hate Christ clubs in our schools already...but friends, out of this Jesus movement there's coming a hard core Jesus people who have completely given up the old ways of life. They've forsaken old habits and committed their lives and service to Jesus Christ. My message to you Jesus people today is loud and clear. Get ready to be persecuted.

If you were arrested for being a Christian, would there be enough evidence to convict you?

You cannot be a genuine Christian and escape persecution. -Adrian Rogers, When Christians are Persecuted-

Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life. Revelation 2:10

In regards to people being put out of the church we do know what Jesus would do. The Bible has this to say about it in 3 John.

John had written an earlier letter to the church but Diotrephes who loved to assert his control over the church out of his own personal ambition (1 Peter 5:1-5 Bible quote (verse 1) The elders which are among you I exhort, who am also an elder, and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, and also a partaker of the glory that shall be revealed:

(verse 2) Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight [thereof], not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind;

(verse 3) Neither as being lords over [God's] heritage, but being ensamples to the flock.

(verse 4) And when the chief Shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive a crown of glory that fadeth not away.

(verse 5) Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all [of you] be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble.1 Peter 5 verses 1-5) was refusing to heed John's request which was to extend hospitality to the traveling missionaries. Instead he was putting them out of the church. John was saying this was evil.

Beloved, follow not that which is evil, but that which is good. He that doeth good is of God: but he that doeth evil hath not seen God. 3 John 1:11

So John said "Therefore, if I come, I will call to mind his deeds which he has done" (referring to Diotrephes, verse 10 Bible quote Wherefore, if I come, I will remember his deeds which he doeth, prating against us with malicious words: and not content therewith, neither doth he himself receive the brethren, and forbiddeth them that would, and casteth [them] out of the church.3 John 1 verse 10). He was guilty of boasting, bragging, and talking foolish against John. So John is saying "Do not imitate what is evil." John stood firm against the authoritarianism of Diotrephes until he could go to the church and deal with the problem himself.

While our brethren in China and other countries are suffering physical persecution from anti-God religions, the rest of us here in America are seeing sophisticated persecution from modern day Pharisees on a social, mental, emotional, and spiritual level. This problem arose in some of the churches back in the early church. How much more is it prevalent today? Preachers going against Bible teaching and God's authority. Being boastful, proud, talking foolishly and putting people out of the church and even having them arrested.

Anyone that does not recognize the false preachers, prophets, etc. does not have any discernment about the things of God. If you are close to the Lord He will reveal to you who is of God and who is not. You must pray and read the Word, get close to God and He will show you the evilness of these so called preachers. Now the word of the LORD came unto Jeremiah, while he was shut up in the court of the prison, saying, Go and speak to Ebedmelech the Ethiopian, saying, Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will bring my words upon this city for evil, and not for good; and they shall be accomplished in that day before thee.

But I will deliver thee in that day, saith the LORD: and thou shalt not be given into the hand of the men of whom thou art afraid. For I will surely deliver thee, and thou shalt not fall by the sword, but thy life shall be for a prey unto thee: because thou hast put thy trust in me, saith the LORD. Jeremiah 39:15-18
