Father, in the name of Jesus, I receive and confess that Jesus is my Lord and Savior, and ask that Your will be done in my life. Or you may pray this for others (insert the names as you pray).
Thank You that you have rescued me from the dominion of darkness and have brought me into the Kingdom of Your dear Son, Jesus. Once, I was in darkness, but now I am in light, in You. I walk as a child of light.
The abuse is exposed for what it is and reproved by the light of the Word: it is made visible and very clear; and where everything is visible and clear there is light.
I desire to be a doer of the Word and not just a hearer only. A history of abuse has been in my family for generations. It is a curse that has caused me to act hostile and abusive to others. I promised myself that I would not be like my ancestors, but I have not been able to break the cycle of abuse. Today, I come seeking Your help.
I confess my sin of abuse. I confess my sin of allowing others to abuse others and me. I now ask Your forgiveness. You are faithful and just to forgive my sin and cleanse me from all unrighteousness. I am so tired of this cycle of abuse, which has me re-living the past over and over, fueling the generational curse of anger and abuse.
Jesus was made a curse for me; therefore, Lord, I put on Your whole armor that I may be able to successfully stand against the tricks and set ups of the devil. I reject every generational curse of abuse off my bloodline and me. I speak and say that every evil power of abuse is now broken, overthrown and cast down, in the name of Jesus.
I now submit myself to You and resist the devil. The need to hurt and control others no longer lives inside my family or me. I declare and say I am free! We are free! In the name of Jesus, amen.
