Jezebel and Ahab Operating in the Church and Christian Families
PART 2 OF 3, Page 2
Here we see that Ahab was 'pouting like a child' when he didn't get his way. He did this in SECRET away from the sight of his people but where his wife would see it. In public he tried to portray the image of a 'strong ruler and king,' but in secret he was counting on his 'Jezebel' to satisfy his needs. Today, when you see a man acting like this the origin of this in their lives is often linked to how he was raised by his mother and/or grandmother who ALSO OPERATED IN THE JEZEBEL/ CONTROLLING SPIRIT!
For me, there is NO DOUBT Ahab's mother operated in the same type "controlling" and "witchcraft" spirit. Do you think he only started "pouting" to get his way AFTER he married her? NOT LIKELY!! It's just like 'home-cooking.' It was clear he was previously DEPENDANT on a 'Jezebelian woman' providing his needs. In return, he only has to let her have her way. He has learned that after giving into the 'suggestions' of a 'Jezebelian female' in his life that she gives him the desire of his heart. Just like all who are into witchcraft the old testament Jezebel covets the ability to manipulate and control the king. Ahab knew the 'strong woman in his wife' would feed his selfish desires. Jezebel seeks to give the things that make Ahab happy in return she weilds his authority. She can control and influence others.
But Jezebel his wife came to him, and said to him, "Why is your spirit so sullen that you eat no food?" He said to her, "Because I spoke to Naboth the Jezreelite, and said to him, "Give me your vineyard for money; or else, if it pleases you, I will give you another vineyard for it." And he answered, "I will not give you my vineyard." "Then Jezebel his wife said to him, "You now exercise authority over Israel! Arise, eat food, and let your heart be cheerful; I will give you the vineyard of Naboth the Jezreelite." 1 Kings 21:5-7 (NKJV)(verse 5) But Jezebel his wife came to him, and said unto him, Why is thy spirit so sad, that thou eatest no bread?
(verse 6) And he said unto her, Because I spake unto Naboth the Jezreelite, and said unto him, Give me thy vineyard for money; or else, if it please thee, I will give thee [another] vineyard for it: and he answered, I will not give thee my vineyard.
(verse 7) And Jezebel his wife said unto him, Dost thou now govern the kingdom of Israel? arise, [and] eat bread, and let thine heart be merry: I will give thee the vineyard of Naboth the Jezreelite.1 Kings 21 (KJV) verses 5-7
Here she weilds his authority and position to do as she desires even though her husband has the title of nobility-
And she wrote letters in Ahab's name, sealed them with his seal, and sent the letters to the elders and the nobles who were dwelling in the city with Naboth. She wrote in the letters, saying, Proclaim a fast, and seat Naboth with high honor among the people; and seat two men, scoundrels, before him to bear witness against him, saying, "You have blasphemed God and the king." Then take him out, and stone him, that he may die. So the men of his city, the elders and nobles who were inhabitants of his city, did as Jezebel had sent to them, as it was written in the letters which she had sent to them. They proclaimed a fast, and seated Naboth with high honor among the people. And two men, scoundrels, came in and sat before him; and the scoundrels witnessed against him, against Naboth, in the presence of the people, saying, "Naboth has blasphemed God and the king!" Then they took him outside the city and stoned him with stones, so that he died. Then they sent to Jezebel, saying, "Naboth has been stoned and is dead." And it came to pass, when Jezebel heard that Naboth had been stoned and was dead, that Jezebel said to Ahab, "Arise, take possession of the vineyard of Naboth the Jezreelite, which he refused to give you for money; for Naboth is not alive, but dead."
So it was, when Ahab heard that Naboth was dead, that Ahab got up and went down to take possession of the vineyard of Naboth the Jezreelite. Then the word of the Lord came to Elijah the Tishbite, saying, "Arise, go down to meet Ahab king of Israel, who lives in Samaria. There he is, in the vineyard of Naboth, where he has gone down to take possession of it. "You shall speak to him, saying, Thus says the Lord: "Have you murdered and also taken possession?" "And you shall speak to him, saying, Thus says the Lord: "In the place where dogs licked the blood of Naboth, dogs shall lick your blood, even yours." So Ahab said to Elijah, "Have you found me, O my enemy?" And he answered, "I have found you, because you have sold yourself to do evil in the sight of the Lord: Behold, I will bring calamity on you. I will take away your posterity, and will cut off from Ahab every male in Israel, both bond and free. I will make your house like the house of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, and like the house of Baasha the son of Ahijah, because of the provocation with which you have provoked Me to anger, and made Israel sin.
And concerning Jezebel the Lord also spoke, saying, "The dogs shall eat Jezebel by the wall of Jezreel. The dogs shall eat whoever belongs to Ahab and dies in the city, and the birds of the air shall eat whoever dies in the field. But there was no one like Ahab who sold himself to do wickedness in the sight of the Lord, because Jezebel his wife stirred him up. And he behaved very abominably in following idols, according to all that the Amorites had done, whom the Lord had cast out before the children of Israel. So it was, when Ahab heard those words, that he tore his clothes and put sackcloth on his body, and fasted and lay in sackcloth, and went about mourning. And the word of the Lord came to Elijah the Tishbite, saying, See how Ahab has humbled himself before Me? Because he has humbled himself before Me, I will not bring the calamity in his days. IN THE DAYS OF HIS SON I WILL BRING THE CALAMITY ON HIS HOUSE!" 1 Kings 21:8-29 (NKJV)
HERE WE SAW THE GENERATIONAL SINS/CURSES AT THEIR ORIGIN AND THE FUTURE GENERATIONS PAYING FOR THOSE SINS!
The Generational Curse Goes On
Let's see what happens as a result of this…. As Ahab's son continues the generational sin of witchcraft and idolatry he received from his parents:
Ahaziah the son of Ahab became king over Israel in Samaria in the seventeenth year of Jehoshaphat king of Judah, and reigned two years over Israel. He did evil in the sight of the Lord, and walked in the way of his father and in the way of his mother and in the way of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who had made Israel sin; 53for he served Baal and worshiped him, and provoked the Lord God of Israel to anger, according to all that his father had done. 1 Kings 22:51-53 (NKJV)(verse 51) Ahaziah the son of Ahab began to reign over Israel in Samaria the seventeenth year of Jehoshaphat king of Judah, and reigned two years over Israel.
(verse 52) And he did evil in the sight of the LORD, and walked in the way of his father, and in the way of his mother, and in the way of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin:
(verse 53) For he served Baal, and worshipped him, and provoked to anger the LORD God of Israel, according to all that his father had done.1 Kings 22 (KJV) verses 51-53
The 'Spirit of Witchcraft'
Undermining Authority and control. I am a supporter of many women who are Pastors in America. Anyone reading my teachings will see that I PROMOTE the wife taking an ACTIVE role in the ministry, working alongside of the husband/Pastor and family decisions. Same goes for situation where the Pastor is a woman, the husband has an active role in ministry. GOD has shown me time and time again that a husband and wife team each have different giftings and anointings. What abilities or anointings that the Pastor is missing the other will be able to provide. In every situation where I see a church moving forward it is not just because the elders/deacons are working with the Pastor, but in EVERY situation the husband/wife work together as a team.
I find that in marriage as well as ministry that GOD uses the spouse as a 'confirmation' in decision making. None of us are perfect and often our decisions are "influenced in a wrong direction" by past events in our lives. Or we simply chose the option, which most likely leads us to the desired outcome. (or income! LOL) Sure, I've met some women who were rebellious and outwardly manifesting the JEZEBEL spirit, who started into Ministry in DEFIANCE to the men who were over her who refused to use her. She was determined to show everyone that "she can do it better!' Many were never called into a strictly "Deliverance ONLY" ministry by GOD rather they are serving spirits of PRIDE and enjoy the control over others.
