Jezebel and Ahab Operating in the Church and Christian Families
PART 2 OF 3, Page 4
It's AMAZING how often that those with the Jezebel spirits, call themselves a "PROPHET(ESS)."
There is a price to pay for those who speak up against Jezebels desires. The threat over the Pastor (Ahab) that people may not see is a 'cold' attitude at home and making things very TOUGH emotionally around the home. This 'punishment' is to make sure that the NEXT time she makes a 'strong recommendation' that people listen and agree. Equally there is a REWARD for the husband (Ahab) who gives into her desires. These rewards will be the things he/she desires the most. Just like Jezebel in the Bible.
Jezebel hates the prophets yet hides herself behind that very title. Ironic, eh?
Of course, being labeled a "Prophetess‟ only makes that step into the pulpit even easier. Also affords them to "give a word for the church" to help move it in the direction she sees fit. Who would DARE question the Pastors wife of being a "Prophetess"? Kinda like the "Trojan Horse" scheme? Outwardly looks nice and like a blessing but in truth the things inside bring destruction!
PLEASE NOTE: In the other parts of this teaching I discuss that a wife SHOULD be active in the ministry and do the things GOD is calling her to do. She should be a helpmate and the Pastor should look to her as one of the people that GOD uses to CONFIRM the direction their ministry/church is to go in. If the woman is the Pastor then the same applies to the man's role in the ministry.†
Here's What God Says about Submission and the Role of Husbands and Wives
Submit to one another out of reverence for Christ. Wives, submit yourselves to your own husbands as you do to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior.
Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything. Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word, and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless.
In this same way, husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. After all, no one ever hated their own body, but they feed and care for their body, just as Christ does the church-- for we are members of his body.
"For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh." This is a profound mystery--but I am talking about Christ and the church.
However, each one of you also must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband. Ephesians 5:21-33 (NIV)
