Minor Factual Errors Noticed In: The Day After Roswell
Page Backfire bombers were not deployed by the Soviets until the late 1970s. More realistic threat in the early 1960s would have been from turboprop BEAR bombers or you could have explained that Backfire bombers were in the developmental stage in Russia at the time.
Page Soldiers were eating C-rations in cans at the time you were in Army R and D, not Meals Ready to Eat (MREs). You could state that MREs then being developed would be a vast improvement in terms of less weight for the soldier over C-rations.
Page 197. HAWK missiles are Homing All the Way Killers, that ride a radar beam to their targets, not infared heat seeking. Unless there is an IR seeker head I'm unaware of, I believe you meant by the context of the paragraph AIM-4 FALCON air-to-air missiles that were existent at the time that were/are IR heat seekers that tail chase a aircraft's engine exhausts.
Page 222. Dr. Bull had made a super-gun and cut his deal for the Iraqis not the Iranians.
